What Is Block Blast?

Block Blast is a free block puzzle game: drag shaped blocks onto an 8x8 grid, fill complete rows or columns to clear them, and keep the board from filling up. The 2026 update added Ranked Clash Mode — asynchronous competition with Bronze-to-Diamond leagues, weekly resets and regional leaderboards — and turned it into a TikTok phenomenon.

How to Play

1. Place blocks: Drag one of the three given pieces onto the grid.
2. Clear lines: Fill a full row or column to clear it and score.
3. Combo chains: Clear multiple lines in consecutive moves for combo multipliers.
4. Survive: Game over when none of your three pieces fit anywhere.

Ranked Clash Mode (2026 Update)

• Everyone gets the same block sequence — pure skill competition.
• Leagues: Bronze → Silver → Gold → Platinum → Diamond.
• Weekly resets, streak bonuses, limited-time events.
• Tip: play your ranked session when calm — one bad run can drop you a full tier.

High Score Strategy

• Keep the center open: corners fill up fast and trap you.
• Save 3x3 space: big square pieces are the #1 run-killer.
• Chain clears: set up two lines to clear in back-to-back moves for combo bonus.
• Flat pieces first: long bars clear rows cheaply; save L-shapes for gaps.
• Don't chase every clear: sometimes leaving a near-full row sets up a double clear next move.

Common Mistakes

• Filling corners early — leaves no room for 3x3 blocks.
• Placing pieces the instant they appear — plan two moves ahead.
• Ignoring the upcoming pieces — always check what shapes are coming.
